Introducing the Cisco Authorized Service Provider Video Program

The Cisco Authorized Service Provider (SP) Video Program is for Cisco partners who want to expand their video expertise and work with Cisco to jointly expand the number of service providers using Cisco video solutions. The idea is to build a mutually profitable partnership to address our customers’ needs.

By joining forces, Cisco and qualified partners offering video solutions will be better positioned to identify global opportunities and deliver the solutions service providers need to bring a complete, converged experience to their customers.

As users increasingly turn to service providers for delivery of a full digital experience, these service providers will turn to their own providers of network products and services for strategic, end-to-end, cost-effective solutions. For Cisco partners offering video solutions, that translates into the opportunity for:

• Expanded market opportunity
• Enhanced service offerings and end-to-end video solutions
• Increased profitability

The Authorized SP Video Program identifies, qualifies, trains, and enables Cisco channel partners to provide services for Cisco video solutions.

The Cisco Authorized SP Video Program is open to all channel partners. Interested partners can work with their channel account manager to determine the eligibility and program requirements.

Note for Cisco Video Partner Initiative (VPI) participants: As of December 31, 2009, the Cisco VPI Program will be retiring. If you choose to retain your status, you will need to satisfy requirements for the Authorized SP Video Program by March 31, 2010.

The Cisco® Data Center Unified Computing Authorized Technology Provider (DCUC ATP) Program helps Cisco partners address the growing global market opportunity for unified computing solutions by enabling them to further expand their data center practices, including the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS). The program helps identify, qualify, train, and enable a specifically qualified group of Cisco channel partners to provide sales and support for the Cisco UCS.

Participation in the DCUC ATP Program allows partners to develop and demonstrate expertise in Cisco UCS through sales and engineering role-based training. Meeting the requirements of the DCUC ATP Program earns partners additional lab equipment and financial benefits. In addition, DCUC ATP partners are listed on the Cisco Partner Locator, enabling customer visibility and market differentiation—both key benefits to help partners attract customers interested in this new solution.

Partner participation in the DCUC ATP program is by invitation only. Partners must be invited by their theater-based Cisco channel account manager (CAM). After receiving the invitation, partners are required to hold the Cisco Advanced Data Center Networking Infrastructure Specialization as an entry requirement and must complete the Cisco Advanced Data Center Storage Networking Specialization as a program requirement. Upon validation of all program requirements by the WW Channel Programs team, partners receive a confirming email and are accepted into the program. In addition to the other requirements, a partner must have an already established server and storage practice and must have completed specified VMware certifications.
